Heights House Hotel
Montfort Hall, now known as HEIGHTS HOUSE HOTEL, was commissioned in 1858 by William Montfort boylan with the guidance of British architect William Percival. The Italianate style mansion was completed in 1860 and sits on the highest point of the now historic Boylan Heights neighborhood in downtown Raleigh.
An incredible team led by owners and dynamic duo Sarah & Jeff Shepherd brought this beautiful landmark back to life from the ground up. Along with the stunning stylings of interior designer Brian Costello, we focused the identity of the hotel around the architecture and details of the home.
Our custom typeface Boylan Neue is inspired by the lettering of the beloved neighborhoods signs, but elevated and matching the geometry of the building itself.
